Can Self Employed borrowers qualify for a Mortgage?
The simple answer is yes, however depending on your particular circumstance, you may need to consider an alternative or "Non-QM" loan.
For a conventional loan, both personal and business documentation would be necesary. See standard documentation above.
Additionally, we offer altrnative loans for self employed individuals. The key is to show the ability to repay the loan. For example, 12 or 24 months bank statements can be submitted and utilize monthly qualified deposits to get approved.
What is the minimum credit score to secure a mortgage?
Many lenders have slightly different requirements. Usually, a borrower can go as low as a 580 credit score and may qualify for an FHA loan.
